Upgrade CDL Class B License to Class A License
with Roger Klinger
This course is designed to prepare students who have a current unexpired CDL Class B license on the knowledge and training needed to take the permit and driving test for a CDL Class A license. Classroom, road and range training are part of this 120 hour course.
Cost includes permit and 2 attempt at the CDL Driving test.
Those interested should email ConEd@wvncc.edu to be put on a schedule.

CDL Automatic Restriction Removal - Wheeling Campus - By Request

CDL Automatic Restriction Removal is offered continuously at our Wheeling Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu.
This course is designed to remove the Automatic Restriction on an individual's commercial driver's license.
Subjects covered during this course are pre-trip, reverse maneuvers, and on the road driving utilizing a standard transmission.
Students must have a CDL license to attend this class. A total of 16 hours of road and range training. Cost of the class includes 1 attempt at the CDL Driving test.
Cost: $500.00

CDL Class A Refresher I Wheeling Campus - By Request

CDL Class A Refresher I is offered continuously at our Wheeling Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu.
A one-week refresher course to prepare to be tested for a CDL Class A license exam. Must have prior experience as a CDL driver five 8-hour days for a total of 40 hours. Course includes drug screen DOT physical and 1 test for CDL. Cost $999.00.

A two-week refresher course to prepare to be tested for a CDL Class A license exam. Must have prior experience as a CDL driver, ten 8-hour days for a total of 80 hours. Course includes drug screen DOT physical and 1 test for CDL. Cost: $1,999.00.

CDL Class B - School Bus Endorsement - By Request

The CDL Class B is offered continuously at our Wheeling Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu
This course is designed to prepare students for a School Bus Endorsement commercial driver's license.
During the 2-week class the students will be taught how to safely operate a Class B vehicle. It will conisist of 1 week in-class learning to obtain a valid CDL-learners permit. Many sections of the class will be discussed including general knowledge, airbrakes, passenger, school bus endorsement, hours of service, FMCSA's compliance, safety, accountabilty, and defensive driving. After obtaining the permit, the student will continue class for the road and range portion. The student will be taught how to properly pre-trip a school bus.
Cost includes Dept. of Transportation physical, permit and 2 attempts at the CDL Driving Test. Cost: $3,300.00.

CDL Class B - Wheeling -By Request

CDL classes are offered continuously at our Wheeling Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu.
This course is designed to prepare students for a Class B commercial driver's license. Subjects covered during this course are general knowledge, air brakes, combination sections, tanker endorsement, hours of service, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's compliance, safety, accountability, and defensive driving.
Once a permit is obtained, students will continue with three weeks of road and range training. This training will include the proper pre-trip inspection of a commercial motor vehicle and how to safely perform reverse maneuvers and operate on city streets and highways.
Cost includes Dept of Transportation physical, permit and 2 attempts at the CDL Driving Test. Cost: $3,300.00

CDL Hazmat ELDT Training - Wheeling Campus - By Request

CDL Hazmat ELDG Training is offered continuously at our Wheelng Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu.
This class meets the qualifications for the ELDT training required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The course provides students with the knowledge needed to transport hazardous materials in adherence with both federal and state laws. It will also help prepare drivers for the Hazardous Materials Endorsement Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) exam. The course is held on campus, in a computer lab, using online curriculum and the WVNCC CDL program curriculum.

CDL License Upgrade Wheeling Campus - By Request

CCL License Upgrade classes are offered continuously at our Wheeling Campus. To be added to the next available course, email ConEd@wvncc.edu.
Class is 120 hours of instruction to upgrade a CDL Class B to a CDL Class A license. A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles and other commercial vehicle operators. Course includes instruction on operating gas, diesel, or electrically powered vehicles; loading and unloading cargo or passengers, reporting delays or accidents on the road; verifying load against shipping papers, arranging transportation for personnel and keeping records of receipts for fares.
