Drone Pilot Certification and FAA 107 Test Prep - New Martinsville Campus

$799

with John Lantz

Calendar Jun 19, 2023 at 8:30 am, runs for 3 weeks

This course provides all the basics regarding drones: how they function and fly, flight training to teach students to fly effectively without GPS, discussion of uses and applications, and a thorough review of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules. Students use indoor flight training methodology with small model quadcopters and Ryze Tello kits. We initially train indoors without wind/weather using obstacle courses. This approach develops three primary skill proficiencies:

1. Dealing with a flight system orientation

2. Depth perception

3. Flying without dependency on GPS

All students receive a Syma X5 Series drone as part of the class
