(Mise en place (MEEZ ahn plahs) is a French term for having all your ingredients measured, cut, peeled, sliced, grated, etc. before you start cooking. Pans are prepared. Mixing bowls, tools and equipment set out.

Program length: 6 hours

In this class, students learn how to read, use, and write a recipe.   They’ll understand basic conversions, mise en place, and knife cuts.   Students will understand the concept of prepping salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and dressings.
