This course utilizes curriculum based on SME’s Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification.  This training is focused on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual’s potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles.

It was designed for individuals new to manufacturing who may not currently possess enough knowledge or experience for more advanced technical certifications. Covering fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more, this industry-driven certification demonstrates that the individual has basic knowledge of manufacturing.  

Classes will meet on the Weirton campus on Fridays beginning May 3, 2024 and ending on June 7, 2024 from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

This course will instruct a student in the fundamentals of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance tasks.  Additionally basic safety skills, preventative maintenance and working with hand tools will be covered.
