EKG Technician - New Martinsville Campus

Students will utilize an online learning platform for lectures and quizzes. In person labs will be scheduled within the 5 week class timeframe. This course prepares students for the EKG Technician role in a healthcare setting. Students will be taught the principles of quality control, infection control, safety procedures, pathology, medical terminology, and patient care's legal and ethical aspects. This course includes classroom instruction and campus laboratory skills practice. Students are required to obtain 10 EKGs on live individuals. Students who complete all aspects of the course are eligible to sit for the EKG Technician Certification Exam, provided by the National Health Career Association. Classes are April 7 - May 12, 2025 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
