Mastering Photoshop I - New Martinsville Campus

Please Note: This class is 4 sessions which will be held on Thursday evenings: January 8, 15, 22, 29, 2026
If you are new to Photoshop or have tried to learn Photoshop and struggled with it, this course is for you. The course starts at the very beginning with an overview of the program and its interface. We will review and use the many tools, such as crop, healing brushes, selections, levels and curves, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, black&white, and more. Most importantly, we will learn and master the use of layers which is the most powerful component of Photoshop. During the class students will work with images supplied by the instructor so that everyone us doing the same edits at the same time, in order to lead to mastering photoshop.
Students will need to have access to Photoshop software through an Adobe Photography plan or a trial version.

This is a continuation of the Mastering Photoshop I class and will cover a variety of advanced topics, including: composites, blending modes, advance retouching, smart objects, sky replacement, and additional camera raw editing techniques. The overall objective is to master the extensive capabilities available in Photoshop. Students will work with instructor supplied images for learning and then use their own images to demonstrate their mastery of the software.
Students will need to have access to Photoshop software through an Adobe Photography plan or a trial version.

This is a continuation of the Mastering Photoshop I class and will cover a variety of advanced topics, including: composites, blending modes, advance retouching, smart objects, sky replacement, and additional camera raw editing techniques. The overall objective is to master the extensive capabilities available in Photoshop. Students will work with instructor supplied images for learning and then use their own images to demonstrate their mastery of the software.

Intro to Video Shooting and Editing - New Martinsville Campus

This class will meet 2 Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - 9:00pm - March 19, 26, 2026
Through social media we are exposed to many versions of videos, from regular TV based formats to vertical shorts on Youtube, Facebook and other platforms. This course will introduce the basic concepts for shooting and editing video. There are many ways to create video footage, from our ubiquitous phones to high-end video capable cameras. For this class any camera will be suitable and the emphasis will be on the final product, a short-form video. In the class we will use a basic, free, editing software. Bring you phone or other camera and let’s create masterpiece!

Flying Drones for Fun and Images - Wheeling Campus

This class will introduce the student to basic drone concepts for recreational drone pilots. Topics include: FAA regulations for hobbyist pilots, understanding airspace and weather, safe preflight procedures and takeoff/landing techniques, and introductory drone photography or videography principles. There will be both classroom and actual drone flying components to this class. Students will receive 30 minutes of actual flying time during the class and the emphasis will be on flying for fun while preparing each student to obtain their own drone and to operate it safely.
