ServSafe Food Protection Manager Course - Weirton Campus

Per the WV Health Dept. - "Certification requires at least one employee that has supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control food preparation and services shall be a certified food protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of the accredited program."

Basic Kitchen Equipment and Skills

This class will look at basic measurements, basic mis en place, use of kitchen equipment, basic knife skills and care.   You will learn and practice knife cuts and maintenance.  How do I set up my meal.   How do I read a recipe and execute it. We will also talk about food safety.  This is meant for home cooks.

Intro to Photography - New Martinsville Campus

This course is for those new to photography and those that have been doing photography, but would like a better understanding of their camera and the basic principles of photography. You will learn how to set-up your camera properly and the essentials of photography, including: exposure, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, ISO, program and manual modes, and image file types.

We will also cover composition, lens selection, depth-of-field, exposure compensation, and more. Students will share and discuss their images during the class.
