VENT-ENTER- SEARCH TRAINING

The original tactic of vent-enter-search (VES) was developed and perfected to allow firefighters alternative means to access and remove victims trapped in burning buildings. Many of the concepts associated with VEI(isolate)S draw on the original skills and abilities that were developed with VES. There are four basic factors that have contributed to the development of VEI and will be covered: modern building construction, occupancy layouts, fire loads, and scientific research. Each will be covered in this presentation.
