Baking 101

with Darcy Riggs-Suslovic

The student will learn basic techniques such as shortbread crust, rustic yeast bread, bakery style cookies, delectable cakes, bars, and quick puff pastry. Aprons and all ingredients will be provided. In this class you will learn proper mixing techniques, baking, portioning, and boxing. You will leave with a box of sweet treats to enjoy later. You will work in the bakeshop in the culinary arts kitchen in the EC. Please wear comfortable shoes and have your hair pulled back. We need at least 6 people registered to run the class and only 8 students maximum.
