TIG I (GTAW) - Wheeling Campus

This course may be eligible for college credit (WELD 206 Beginning TIG) upon successful completion.
Class dates: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm - 9:30pm from January 28 - April 18, 2026. There will be no classes during the weeks of February 9th or March 9th.
This course will cover TIG welding training on vertical open root techniques. Certification exam is available and included for the vertical open root, 3 position, and possible 6G pipe.

Chair Yoga

This gentle class uses a chair for support to improve flexibility, balance, and strength, all while reducing stress. This class is perfect for beginners, older adults, or anyone looking for a low-impact way to stay active and feel better in their body. This class meets at the Prodigy Wellness Center 313 N. Main Street, New Martinsville. The class schedule is Mondays from 10:00 am-10:45 am on the following dates; 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23.
Basic Strength Training

Are you ready to build strength, confidence, and a solid foundation for lifelong fitness? This 4-week class meets twice per week and focuses on the fundamentals for strength training in a safe and supportive environment. You will learn proper form, techinque, and how to progress safely to prevent injury and support bone health all while experiencing the many physical and benefits of strength training. No experience necessary.
Pickleball - New Martinsville
with Jae Lehew
Come join the fastest growing sport in America! Each game lasts approximately 20-30 minutes. The game is over once a player reaches 11 points. You must win the game by two points. Please wear comfortable clothes, shorts or sweats, t' shirt, and tennis shoes. Bring your own water bottle and towel. We will provide a pickleball paddle and balls but you are welcome to bring your own equipment.
Phlebotomy Technician - Weirton Campus

Students will complete learning modules, quizzes and tests in an online platform and in person class instruction will be used for answering questions and all required labwork. You will be asked to bring in acquaintenances for lab time during this class.
Program Length: 40 hours of instruction
This course prepares the student for the Phlebotomy Technician role in a healthcare setting. The student will be instructed on techniques & skills related to preparing and monitoring patients for relevant procedures, and gain an understanding of infection control measures. Students are required to successfully demonstrate adequate skills related to Phlebotomy techniques, including 30 venipunctures and 10 capillary draws which are required for the student to be eligible to take the NHA Phlebotomy Certification exam.
Additionally, program completers of EKG and Phlebotomy can receive college credit towards WVNCC’s Patient Care Technician Certificate – a one-year program.

Certified Nurse Assistant - Wheeling Campus (seat reservation)

We will have 10 spots available for this class. Once the class is full - we will keep a waiting list in case a spot opens up and for the next class that will be offered.

- Saturdays: 8:00am - 4:30pm (30 min. lunch)
Program length: (65 contact hours of classroom instruction, 55 contact hours of clinical instruction are required by the State of WV)
Clinicals will be held at Continuous Care Center at WVU - Wheeling Hospital. Any vaccinations, or physicals required will be the responsibility of the student.
The Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares individuals for an entry-level position in the health care field. Graduates work closely with patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. The nursing assistant provides important information on patient conditions to nurses and is vital to the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility, home health organization, or hospital. After program completion, prospective Nursing Assistants take a competency examination to become certified.
Additionally, program completers can receive college credit towards WVNCC’s Patient Care Technician Certificate – a one-year program.

The Difficult Airway Course - EMS

This is a 16 hour class and will be held over 2 Saturdays - February 7, 2026 and February 21, 2026.
The Difficult Airway Course teaches healthcare providers advanced, hands-on techniques for managing challenging airway scenarios, focusing on identifying difficult airways, systematic approaches, using tools like video laryngoscopes and extraglottic devices, cricothyrotomy, awake intubation, medication-assisted intubation, and incorporating human factors like team communication
Includes:
- Didactic and Hands-on Training
- Prediction of the Difficult Airway
- Video Laryngoscopy and other advanced imaging devices
- Medication-assisted Intubation (including RSI and RSA)
- Pediatric intubation
- Endotracheal tube introducers (bougie)
- Cricothyrotomy

OSHA 10 General Industry - New Martinsville Campus

OSHA 10 Hour General Training is a basic safety course for workers in various industries, such as manufacturing, warehousing, healthcare, and retail. It provides an introductory understanding of workplace safety, covering topics like hazard recognition and workplace safety protocols. This course helps workers identify common risks in general industry environments and teaches the safety practices needed to mitigate those risks. OSHA 10 General is recommended for entry-level workers to understand their role in maintaining a safe workplace.
