Low Impact Aerobics
with Carol Teoff
This is a low impact aerobics class with an emphasis on cardiorespiratory endurance, strength, improvement and flexibility with no chair or floor work, usually to music that is 128-140 bpm. Students can use stretchy bands. The instructor will demonstrate easier and more difficult ways to do each movement so that the students can exercise at their own level.

ARC Flash Refresher Training - Wheeling Campus
with James Hutchison
This course is designed as a four-hour refresher course based on NFPA 70E standards. Participants learn about high voltage electricity, and Arc Flash potential, as well as Arc Flash labeling and training requirements. Hazards, accidents and reporting are also covered. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees receive a continuing education certificate of completion.
Youth Mental Health First Aid

This course is designed to instruct students on how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and sbustance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 6-18. This course is intended for teachers, school staff, coaches, camp counselors, youth group leaders, parents and aduits who work with youth.
Yoga for Beginners

This class is designed for the individual who is completely new to the practice of yoga. Participants will learn the foundations of yoga technique, and apply the principals of yoga to calm the mind and strengthen the body. Class participants should be prepared with a yoga mat, small towel, and plenty of water

APCO Surviving Stress - New Martinsville
Stress is one of the most common words used in society today and something that each one of us will experience at some point in our life. Stress affects people of all ages, professions, and life situations. However, emergency communications as a profession are inherently stressful with the various demands placed upon them by nature of the profession. Understanding these causes of stress in the profession will allow the public safety telecommunicator to recognize and mitigate some of the stressful situations that they may encounter. This course addresses how to detect stress within yourself and co-workers and provides measures to reduce its impact.

CDL Class A - Weirton Campus (Seat Reservation)

This course is designed to prepare students for a Class A commercial driver’s license. The total cost of the course is $4,699. This registration is for a seat reservation.
The course consists of two weeks of in-class training to obtain a valid CDL-learner permit. General Knowledge, airbrakes, combination sections, tanker endorsement, and doubles and triples will be covered to obtain the permit. Hours of service, FMCSA's compliance, safety, accountability, and defensive driving will also be covered. Once a permit is obtained, students will continue with three weeks of road and range training. Training will consist of proper pre-trip inspection of a commercial motor vehicle and how to safely perform reverse maneuvers and operate on city streets and highways.
*April 22/2024 to May 3/2024 you will be in classroom 108 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
*May 6/2024 to May/24 will be Road and Range 8:00 am to 4:00 pm instructor will let you know where to meet.
Applicants must pass a D.O.T. physical exam and drug screening before the first day of class.
