CDL Class A - Wheeling Campus

Calendar Jul 13, 2026 at 9 am, runs for 5 weeks

This course is designed to prepare students for a Class A commercial driver’s license.  The total cost of the course is $4,999. The $25 charge is a deposit towards that total but does not guarantee a spot in the class. To reserve a seat, students must have confirmed funding arrangements (such as a payment plan, WIOA funding, or financial aid). 

The course consists of two weeks of in-class training to obtain a valid CDL-learner permit.  General Knowledge, airbrakes, combination sections, tanker endorsement, and doubles and triples will be covered to obtain the permit.  Hours of service, FMCSA's compliance, safety, accountability, and defensive driving will also be covered. Once a permit is obtained, students will continue with three weeks of road and range training. Training will consist of proper pre-trip inspection of a commercial motor vehicle and how to safely perform reverse maneuvers and operate on city streets and highways. 

Applicants must pass a D.O.T. physical exam and drug screening before the first day of class.

Full Course

Stained Glass-Beginner-2.0-Wheeling

Calendar Jul 18, 2026 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

Beginner 2.0 Class. In this class, participants will be making a 10-12 piece project. Some experience is recommended. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at the art of Stained Glass? You can try this hands-on, beginner-friendly introduction to creating art glass using the Tiffany (copper foil) method, no prior experience required. This class will begin with a safety overview and introduction to the tools used in glass making, with a brief history of the art. You will be guided in the traditional Stained-Glass techniques including cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering.  The class fee includes all instructions, tools, and materials. Weld it Yourself-Wall Art

Calendar Aug 2, 2026 at 2 pm, runs for 1 week

Learn the basics of tack welding while creating something you can take home and use. In this hands-on series, participants will weld a real steel horseshoes into a finished piece. This class is beginner-friendly and designed for those with little to no welding experience. Students will receive step-by-step instructionson using SMAW weldinf process. All materials and tools are provided, and participants will leave with a completed horseshoe project they welded themselves. Please wear jeans and boots. Skills covered; Basic welding setup and techinique, and metal positioning and tack welding. Who can attend: Ages 16 plus, No prior welding experience required. Class length 2-3 hours, teacher Brandy Killeen and Don Bosley.

Paramedic Anatomy and Physiology

There is a $25 deposit for this class with a total cost of $249.   

This course provides a comprehensive study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body with an emphasis on health and medical issues, is designed for students preparing to enter WVNCC’s Paramedic Program.  It will include an overview of basic chemical organization, cell structure and function, and tissues; followed by the study of structure and function of all body systems.

The class is an online class completed asynchronously.   Books and online access are included in the cost of the class.

Low Impact Aerobic-WEIRTON ONLY

Calendar Aug 25, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 17 weeks

This is a low impact aerobics class with an emphasis on cardiorespiratory endurance, strength, improvement and flexibility with no chair or floor work, usually to music that is 128-140 bpm. Students can use stretchy bands. The instructor will demonstrate easier and more difficult ways to do each movement so that the students can exercise at their own level.

Wine Tasting @ Moss Farms

Calendar Aug 28, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

This class will help students distinguish the difference between the mouth feel associated with the brix of each wine comparing fruit wines, grape wines, dry wines, semi-sweet, and sweet wines. Susan will discuss the wine making process. The student will learn how to clarify the wines and the cold stabilization of wines. Wine tastings are included with the class.
